It started with sitting the exam myself.
To teach English in Thailand, I had to prove my own English first. I sat the TOEIC and scored 800 out of 990, and the hard part was never exam day. It was the preparing. Traveling across the city to a review center, paying for hours that moved at someone else’s pace, and still never really knowing if my writing was strong enough.
Then I kept meeting people in the same position. Students who needed a band score for a university abroad. Workers who needed one simply to be considered for a job overseas. Same pressure, same deadline, same shortage of good practice close enough to reach.
So I built the tool I wanted back then, and made it fit in a phone, because that is what everyone already has.
